Food Meets Fashion… Meets Earthquake Recovery

 Designer Prajje Oscar and Chef Sylva Senat are teaming up with the musical duo Bohio Music for an event to raise funds for continued earthquake recovery in Haiti’s south. The event, L’Art du Patrimoine Haitien, “When Food Meets Fashion,” takes place February 25th at the Pyramid Club in Philadelphia.

“I work with the Haiti Response Coalition. Their approach is based on purchasing goods in Haiti, using materials from within the area where they are to rebuild, rather than bringing more stuff into the country that we don’t really need and killing the local economy,” Prajje says.

The funds will be used to rebuild schools in earthquake affected areas where UNICEF estimates thousands of children are still without a place to gather and learn.
