Coalition Annual Report

July 2021 - June 2022

The Haiti Response Coalition is pleased to share this report about activities from July 2021 through June 2022. This fiscal year began with heightened concerns about the campaign of terror in Port-au-Prince, which was characterized by massacres and high profile assassinations, including human rights activist Antoinette Duclaire and Haiti’s President Jovenel Moïse. Before the country could begin to grapple with the breakdown of governance, two earthquakes hit the southwestern peninsula in quick succession on August 14, 2021. The Coalition quickly began to coordinate efforts to connect resources to needs in the affected areas while mobilizing a team of local organizers to facilitate direct support to hard hit communities in the departments of Grand Anse, Nippes and the South.

Please read the full report and join us for a report back session with discussion of past activities and next steps for the Coalition on Thursday, September 8 at 3pm ET. Register in advance for this meeting by clicking here.

The Coalition has identified several critical next steps and we hope that you will join us as a partner in making these activities possible! If your organization has funds for earthquake or emergency response, please consider supporting the Coalition with a donation today.
